Dear Parents/Guardians,
The first day of school in September for students in Gr. 1-7 is Tuesday, September 2. If your child is starting Kindergarten, the Kindergarten teacher will give you a different schedule for gradual entry.
Students in Gr. 1-7 will attend for one hour only on Tuesday, September 2 from 8:55am until 9:55am. Please ensure you have made arrangements for your child to be picked up at 9:55am.
Students who attended Cameron this past year will return to their old classes on Tuesday, September 2. New students who have registered to begin school in September will go to the gym where they will receive a temporary classroom assignment for the rest of the week.
The schedule for Gr. 1-7 for the week will be as follows:
Tuesday, September 2 – 8:55am to 9:55am
Wednesday, September 3 – 8:55am to 2:48pm
Thursday, September 4 – 8:55am to 2:48pm
Friday, September 5 – 8:55am to 1:45pm **Please note the early dismissal**
In addition to our early dismissal on Friday, we will be having a special picnic lunch on Friday with the whole school on our front lawn, so blankets or towels will be welcome for sitting on that day. Those on the hot lunch program will still be provided a lunch.
Our hot lunch program will begin on Wednesday, please see the notice being sent home on Wednesday. Please note that all children participating in the School Meal Program must register on School Cash Online https://burnaby.schoolcashonline.com/

We will not be accepting cash. There is no commitment to participate for the entire year. It’s strictly on a month to month basis.
New classes will be made in the second week. We will notify you when this is possible and with the details of the transition. Some other dates of note will be the Community Fair September 11th and our Parents As Partners Conferences September 17th and 18th. More information will be sent out later about these events.
