Dear Parents/Guardians,
The first day of school in September for students in Gr. 1-7 is Tuesday, September 8th. If your child is starting Kindergarten, the Kindergarten teacher will give you a different schedule for gradual entry.
Students in Gr. 1-7 will attend for one hour only on Tuesday, September 8 from 8:54am until 9:54am. Please ensure you have made arrangements for your child to be picked up at 9:54am.
Students who attended Cameron this past year will return to their old classes on Tuesday, September 8. New students who have registered to begin school in September will go to the gym where they will receive a temporary classroom assignment for the rest of the week.
The schedule for Gr. 1-7 for the week will be as follows:
Tuesday, September 8 – 8:54am to 9:54am
Wednesday, September 9 – 8:54am to 2:50 pm
Thursday, September 10 – 8:54am to 2:50pm
Friday, September 11 – 8:54am to 2:50pm
We will be having a special picnic lunch on Friday with the whole school on our front lawn, so blankets or towels will be welcome for sitting on that day. Those on the hot lunch program will still be provided a lunch.
Our hot lunch program will begin on Wednesday, please see the notice being sent home on Wednesday, but lunch will be served to all students wishing to be on the hot lunch program. Please note that all children participating in the School Meal Program must register on School Cash Online https://burnaby.schoolcashonline.com/

We will not be accepting cash. There is no commitment to participate for the entire year. It’s strictly on a month to month basis.
New classes will be made in the second week. We will notify you when this is possible and with the details of the transition. Some dates of note will be our Parents As Partners Conferences September 16th and 17th. More information will be sent out later about these events, but plan for early dismissals at 1:45 on September 16, 17, and 18. Signing up for a teacher meeting will be online and a link will be sent out once classes are finalized. Our first Pro D Day will be September 25th (no students attend school). Our calendar can be viewed on our website and a monthly calendar is also sent home highlighting other events.
