On Thursday, September 29th, students and staff observed Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation which both take place on September 30th. We held an assembly to honour those who attended, did not return from, and survived residential schools in Canada. Student land acknowledgements, listening to Indigenous songs, wearing orange shirts, and learning about Indigenous languages were some of the ways students and staff participated in this meaningful time in September.
